For the process industry, technological functions such as valves and motors are stored for the Simatic PCS 7 process control system. The data interfaces have also been expanded. For example, there is now a shared memory for fast runtime data exchange with 3rd party software. In addition, the Graphic User Interface has been made more user-friendly and 3D visualization has been added. In addition to Windows XP, version 7.1 of Simit can also be run on Windows 7 32/64 bit.
