The vibration- and shock-resistant NB2710 Vehicle Router with E1 certification from NetModule is suitable for buses and other road vehicles in which the router creates the conditions for WLAN access for passengers, passenger information systems, infotainment and digital signage, VoIP communication and electronic payment systems. The device enables wireless access to the Internet via UMTS and LTE with up to 100 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink respectively. Two LTE cards can be used, which ensures double the bandwidth and therefore a higher data transmission speed. Thanks to the integrated load balancing function, the router distributes the outgoing traffic to both wireless modems. Depending on the network coverage, the device switches seamlessly between UMTS, EDGE, GPRS or GSM via the Mobile IP protocol. There is space for six SIM cards which, together with the WAN Link Manager, ensure high availability in network connections from different providers. A VoIP/GSM gateway for voice communication via both the Internet and GSM can be integrated as an option. Data can also be transferred between CAN and IP-based networks via a CAN port.
