With KDL/C and KDL/D, Murrplastik is presenting two cable entry strips for extremely harsh industrial environments with high mechanical loads, moisture, acids, alkalis, alcohols, mineral oils, fuels, grease or dust. "KDL/C" fulfills protection class IP54, "KDL/D" corresponds to protection class IP65. Both cable entry strips can be used in a temperature range from -30 to +100 °C. The KDL/D has an additional bridge that further reinforces the sturdy frame. It serves as an additional fixation, with the help of which each cable fed through is firmly fixed and strain-relieved. As far as installation is concerned, the cable and grommet are inserted horizontally from the front into the cable entry already installed in the enclosure without tools, which is particularly advantageous when retrofitting and repairing pre-assembled cables. Up to twelve cables can be fed through. Ten different grommet variants with clamping ranges from 2 to 12 mm as well as a dummy grommet for closing feed-throughs that are not required are available. The installation dimensions are matched to the standard cut-outs of the heavy-duty 24-pin Harting and Wieland connectors. Both cable glands made of PP and TPE are halogen-free and comply with flame class V0 in accordance with UL 94.
