Whether Profibus-DP, Profinet, Ethernet-IP or Modbus-TCP, the Antares plus remote I/O system from Bartec can be connected to any standard control system using various bus systems. Nine different, hot-swappable I/O modules are available in the form of digital and analog inputs and outputs. With Profibus-DP, a high level of reliability can be achieved thanks to the redundant design of two head modules. The power supply unit enables up to 32 modules to be supplied and sensors and actuators to be connected. Antares plus is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres for Atex zones 1 and 2 (gas) and 21 and 22 (dust) in accordance with current directives. The combination of Ex d, Ex e and Ex i as well as a specially developed plug-in technology has been implemented in the smallest possible space. Thanks to the development concept, the system does not require an explosion-proof housing (Ex e) for device category 2G. The Profibus and Ethernet cable is connected directly to the system. There is no need for additional explosion-proof components (isolating repeater).
