With Indry II, Black Box offers a Gigabit switch designed for harsh environments and available in two versions: The managed version Indry II L is equipped with ten 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports (RJ-45). Four additional multirate SFP ports allow fiber optic uplinks. Users can equip the SFP ports with an individual combination of 100FX or 1000BaseSX/LX/LH SFP modules. According to the manufacturer, a true gigabit network ensures high data throughput and reduces the response time for sensitive applications such as video and/or voice mixed with data in the same line. The features and comprehensive management of the switch offer filters and multicast algorithms to prioritize, partition and organize a network. The smaller, unmanaged Indry II S variant is primarily designed for common industrial applications that do not require a complex setup. Four 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports and a flexible multirate SFP connection are available.
