Winner in the Culture category: With the permanent exhibition "The Net. People, Cables, Data Streams", the German Museum of Technology presents the reality of life in a networked world and asks how visitors want to deal with it. Whether telephone, computer game or transatlantic cable - over 500 objects from the last 200 years and media stations also critically demonstrate the influence that networking has had on everyday life. The playful, interactive tour is designed to introduce children, young people and families in particular to the topic and encourage them to form their own opinions.
