The openSafety operating devices from B&R enable safe data exchange via the bus system. The integrated openSafety interface eliminates the need to hardwire emergency stop, operating mode and start buttons. Whereas previously numerous cables had to be threaded through support arm systems when operating panels were equipped with several hard-wired switches and buttons, the supplier's operating devices only require one bus and one power connection. This means that the operating devices can be positioned exactly where they are needed. According to the manufacturer, the emergency stop function is just as reliable as with hard-wired versions. The operating devices are available in various configurations and can be tailored to any application. In addition to different display diagonals and aspect ratios, various touch technologies are also available. The number and arrangement of buttons, switches and emergency stop buttons can also be configured. The operating devices are available with IP65 housing, among other things. Customer-specific adaptations and industry-specific solutions are also possible.
