For applications with high payloads and the resulting high torque requirements in conveyor applications, Danfoss offers the VLT OGD ExtensionBox as an extension module for the 'VLT OneGearDrive'. Thanks to the compact gearbox solution, the drive can be extended to a significantly higher torque by means of a simple connection, according to the manufacturer. The extension module is an addition for applications where high torques occur - for example, extremely long conveyor belts, large collection tables in bottling plants or the merging of bottle conveyor systems. The gearbox can be attached to the OGD with a torque arm; it has a transmission ratio of 3:1. Power is transmitted via a Kevlar toothed belt.
