Short-term photography using an area light barrier
Korbinian Urban (18) from Bavaria accepted the Chancellor's prize for the most original work. He developed a new process for high-speed photography: an object falling rapidly downwards triggers a light barrier. This activates a flash, which exposes the chip of a digital camera.
