Siemens is currently working on a total of four HVDC platforms - 'HelWin1' is the smallest of these, but the key figures are nevertheless impressive: the one-off construction weighs more than 20 loaded and fully fueled wide-bodied Airbus A380 aircraft. It is 75 meters long and 50 meters wide, which corresponds to a floor area of 3,750 square meters. This makes it larger than half a standard soccer pitch (7,140 square meters). Seven decks are spread over a total height of 27 meters.
