The M18 power range sensors in the P43 series from ultrasonic sensor specialist PIL are characterized by their extremely long range of 2 m in a space-saving, cylindrical M18 design. They can be easily installed even in confined spaces in today's increasingly compact systems and machines. This gives them an advantage over other commercially available sensors with the same range, as these are equipped with an M30 housing that is almost twice as large. Installation in environments with heavy soiling is also no problem - the sensors can be mounted outside the critical area due to their long range. M18 power range sensors have two independent switching points that can be conveniently taught in via remote teach-in. An echo LED helps users to adjust the sensor. A variant with an analog output (0...10 V or 4...20 mA) is also available - this allows the slope of the characteristic curve to be set to suit the specific application.
