The VLT® AutomationDrive FC302 and VLT Decentral Drive FCD 302 from Danfoss, available with firmware 7.25, can be used to control all standard motors used in industrial and building automation. They offer control algorithms for standard asynchronous and permanent magnet (PM) motors and now also for synchronous reluctance motors as standard. According to the manufacturer, they also simplify commissioning, as these inverters offer not only simple operation but also other helpful functions such as automatic motor adaptation for all three motor types, which measures the motor and thus optimizes the motor parameters. This ensures that the motor always operates energy-efficiently.
