The
N1-QM87 embedded system from DSM Computer's 'NanoServer' family integrates the Intel QM87 chipset and a fourth-generation Intel Core processor. The computer is housed in a small 204 mm x 226 mm x 79 mm industrial housing. For system expansions, the device offers a PCI Express x16 slot for short cards. In addition, two Mini PCI Express x1 slots are available internally, one of which is designed as an mSATA. A 60 Gbyte mSATA SSD (Solid State Drive) or larger is installed as standard, which does not require any moving parts or complex cabling. The mSATA SSD enables the computer to start up quickly and works more reliably than an HDD in harsh industrial environments. Optionally, the system can also be equipped with a maximum of two 2.5 inch HDDs/SSDs, one of which is directly accessible via the bottom flap. Various interfaces facilitate the connection of the embedded system. In addition to the DVI-I, DVI-D and DisplayPort graphics interfaces for two independent, high-resolution displays, four external USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0 (two external, four internal) ports are available for fast data transfer. Two 1000-Base-T-LAN interfaces, four serial ports (three RS232, one RS232/422/485), audio and internal Serial ATA for four SATA III 600 and two SATA II 300 devices complete the range.
