According to Denso Robotics, the
RC8 controller has been optimized compared to its predecessor model. The robot controller in the 3 kW class enables the direct connection of external components such as grippers or cameras to the controller. This means that it takes over one of the most important functions of an industrial PC and makes it easier for customers to control external tools with the help of the controller. Various applications can be connected to the controller - the controller supports around 80% of the industrial networks and fieldbuses available worldwide. According to the manufacturer, its flexibility results from the fact that the ORiN network (Open Robot/Resource interface for the Network) is an integral part of the controller. The underlying ORiN2 software is a type of library that customers can use to program their own applications with several components. Knowledge of the company's own programming language PacScript, which can be compared with Visual Basic, is a prerequisite.
