Baumüller is adding new series to its motor portfolio. The new DSE synchronous motors are available either as a housing version or as a built-in motor, making it easier for designers to integrate the functional unit. The motor, which covers the speed range up to 9,000 rpm, has buried magnets and therefore offers a high power density, according to the manufacturer. There are also new developments in the field of mobile drive technology. In addition to electric and hybrid agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles, Baumüller also equips ships with drives, for example. The design of the DST2 direct drives can be adapted to the requirements of shipbuilding through the optional integration of wing mounts. The DST2 high-torque motors in sizes 315 and 400 are certified in accordance with Lloyd's Register standards.
