... the uneven playing field floor was a challenge. According to the DFKI, the robots lost their footing due to the vibrating movements of their fellow players. They fell over and lost valuable time and reaction speed as they struggled to pick themselves up. Thanks to smaller steps, the opposing US team 'Austin Villa' ultimately coped better with the ground. They won the final 2:4 against 'B-Human'. The expertise of the Bremen team remains unchallenged despite the runner-up title: Austin Villa's running algorithms originally came from the 'B-Human' team. The team had published its software from the previous year, making it accessible to the competition.
