Around nine out of ten companies are convinced that Industry 4.0 is good for Germany's international competitiveness. 85 percent see more skilled jobs in Germany in the future. However, this is also accompanied by the fear that the number of simple jobs will decrease. However, small companies are much more optimistic on this point than large companies. 53% of companies with fewer than 1,000 employees are convinced that the number of jobs will increase, while 71% of large companies (more than 1,000 employees) predict a decline in the number of employees.
