4 Influence of Industry 4.0 on entrepreneurial factors

Flexibility and adherence to delivery dates are the predominant factors that entrepreneurs and managers of German companies think about when they consider the topic of Industry 4.0. 78 percent are convinced that a smart company is more flexible, 79 percent see an increase in on-time delivery. But the cost argument also stands out: 70 percent of companies are convinced that Industry 4.0 will reduce costs. Almost two out of three companies also consider it likely that the quality of products will increase as a result of the smart factory. 57 percent believe that the quality of service will increase. However, half of all companies currently expect that the variety of products will not change as a result of Industry 4.0.
