Android smartphone Impact X from Bartec

Bartec Pixavi has developed the Impact X Android smartphone for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The device is designed to bridge the gap between consumer and industrial devices and is ATEX and IECEx certified for Zone 1 and Zone 2. According to the manufacturer, it is suitable for use in heavy rain and for working with gloves. It has three cameras and, according to the manufacturer, delivers twice the battery capacity of a typical consumer smartphone. The smartphone user has access to a selection of additional applications and services, such as mobility, inspection and maintenance apps, ERP solutions, safety systems and communication tools. In addition, the smartphone brings a range of innovative video collaboration apps and device management software solutions to the market to provide a complete turnkey solution. One application is called Sipido. It allows users to conduct live video conferences and video streams from the field. This allows users to solve problems remotely without having to have experts and technicians on site.
