With the Vortix LAN to RF 169 MHz wireless bridge, ConiuGo has developed a wireless bridge for the wireless connection of company buildings and systems to existing LAN networks. The ISM frequency 169 MHz was chosen because this frequency band does not conflict with other wireless technologies such as DECT, W-LAN or wireless alarm systems (868 MHz), which are used on many company premises. In addition, radio waves at 169 MHz have very good propagation characteristics and can penetrate buildings and walls. The radio ranges are typically up to 2000 m, in free field or with directional antennas up to 5000 m are possible.
