Last but not least, Jumo presented the electric frost protection thermostat frostTherm-ATE. The product is characterized by a special start-up function, integrated housing head heating and simple operation. Using a steam-filled sensor line and a diaphragm, the lowest temperature applied to the sensor line is determined over a length of 250 mm. The resulting mechanical movement is converted into an electrical signal, electronically amplified and can be recorded as a 0 to 10 V(DC) measuring signal at the analog output. This makes it possible to continuously open heating valves or close air dampers. The frost protection thermostat is equipped with a housing head heater as standard, which maintains the head temperature at +15°C down to a temperature of -15°C, thus guaranteeing functionality even at low temperatures. The start-up function ensures that the heating valve is first fully opened via the 0 to 10 V output before switching the relay contact takes the entire system out of operation. All thermostat settings can be made from the outside using two buttons after loosening a small screw plug.
