The functional scope of the mTron T measurement, control and automation system has been extended: current innovations include a programmer with process steps, optimized user management and an extended process image editor. Previously, a programmer type was available as an option in the central unit of the device specifically for heat treatments or thermal processes. Up to nine asynchronous program generators can be activated. This standard programmer type enables the specification of setpoint profiles. However, a special programmer type is required for maturing, cooking and smoking systems or for heating, cooling, air conditioning and test ovens. In these sectors, process steps are defined by the system manufacturer as a PLC application, for example. The user has no access to this, as special knowledge of how the system works is required. When entering the program in the Jumo setup program, the user adds the process steps with the set values defined by the system manufacturer to form program sections. Finally, the user defines the processing of the program sections as a program. In addition, as part of the implementation of the new programmer type, various functions in the system have been expanded and combined in the form of a new expansion stage. These include enhancements to user administration and additions to the process screen editor. In future, up to 50 users with ID, name and password can be managed in the system. New users can be defined via the setup program or created directly on the mTRON T multifunction panel. A maximum of 16 user groups can be defined in the setup program and individually assigned rights. Up to 18 individual process screens can currently be displayed in the multifunction panel; in future, up to 16 levels can be defined in each process screen.
