With the CANopen interface, Faulhaber is making its motion control product range compatible with the fieldbus for multi-axis applications. In addition to the external controllers of the MC 3002, 3003 and 3006 series, the integrated versions '222 ... BX4 Cx', '32xx ... BX4 Cx' and '3564 ... B Cx' are also available with CANopen interface. With a diameter of 22 mm, the company is presenting a complete system consisting of a brushless DC servo motor and what it claims to be the world's smallest integrated CANopen motion controller. As before, configuration of the drives at fieldbus level or the motion controllers and the motors connected to them can be carried out using the 'Motion Manager 5' software.
