Caemax measurement technology platform with in-house developed Ethernet driver for precise time-synchronous data acquisition

While many measurement technology providers rely on Ethercat for networking their modules and systems, Caemax is taking a contrary, proprietary approach: The new generation of the modular measurement technology platform MOPS uses a special Ethernet driver that enables synchronous parameterization and data acquisition of multiple systems via an Ethernet switch. "The individually developed driver is the most effective way for us to implement time-synchronous measurement data acquisition," explained Managing Director Henning Pöschl. This means that several basic devices can be interconnected to form a distributed measurement system if required. "There are no suitable Ethercat masters for the laptops commonly used in road tests," Pöschl points out the basic problem.
