Students at TU Darmstadt present the safety goggles they have developed

Finished in first place in the international iCan competition in Japan: Safety goggles for working on machines developed by Lukas Braisz, Maximus Karlas, Stefanie Birkenbach, Jan Hinrichs and Timo Singer (from left to right) from TU Darmstadt. The glasses establish communication between man and machine. Sensors on the temples and on the wings of the nose decide whether the glasses are being worn correctly. The resulting signal is used to remind the user to wear the safety goggles or, if necessary, to switch off a machine. In addition, the signal emitted by the goggles could be used to prohibit access to certain equipment in a workshop, for example.
