Insys icom is launching a new version of its EBW-L100 LTE router on the market. According to the manufacturer, this achieves even better performance values when transmitting high data rates, especially when using VPN, by using a new engine from Gemalto M2M. Low latency times also enable the implementation of time-critical processes via mobile radio. Optional operation with two antennas should lead to improved reception and optimized data rates (MIMO). The device combines a router, a modem and a 2-port switch in one device. The high transmission rates of the LTE standard make it suitable for applications with large data volumes, such as video surveillance. The router features the tried-and-tested Insys operating system based on Linux, standardized configuration for all routers via browser or command line interface (CLI), VPN functionality (OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE), a stateful firewall and other security features such as Radius authentication. It can be easily integrated into the VPN network service Insys Connectivity Service via a quick start.
