... many consumers are giving up the use of certain online services, according to Bitkom professor Dieter Kempf. According to the survey, 47% no longer send confidential documents by email, almost a third no longer use online banking and a quarter no longer shop online. A quarter also avoid social networks, a fifth do not use cloud services and 17% do not book travel or rental cars online - according to Kempf, these are "alarming figures because this trend is slowing down digital development."
