This is also reflected in the success of embedded world in Nuremberg: Since the start of the trade fair in 2003, the number of exhibitors has doubled to 730 companies; the number of visitors rose by 16% from 2008 to 2009 alone to over 18,000 experts. The topic of "machine-to-machine communication" is also beginning to develop in tow: 13 companies represented the M2M scene in the M2M area.
