The new fully electronic safety sensor Eden meets the requirements of the new EN ISO 14119 standard (Safety of machinery - Interlocking devices associated with guards), which replaces the previous EN 1088 standard. Specifically, Eden is a non-contact sensor for use on interlocked doors or hoods. It consists of two complementary parts: Adam and Eve. There are two variants for each of the two parts, depending on the requirements of the system to be protected. The Adam safety sensor is available as a dynamic version with information output and as a dynamic version with integrated, monitored reset and output for an indicator light. Eva is available in the "General code" version with low level coding (in accordance with EN ISO 14119 / 1-9 different codes) and as "Eva Unique code" with high level coding (in accordance with EN ISO 14119 / >1,000 different codes). In general, the sensor is only activated when the door or hood is closed and Adam and Eva have a certain switching distance. Permanent, dynamic communication takes place between Adam and Eve. If errors occur, a stop signal is triggered immediately.
