Steel production causes considerable emissions worldwide, such as greenhouse gases, particulate matter, sulphur and nitrogen oxides, as well as organic substances. In view of the constantly increasing demand for steel, new, environmentally friendly technologies are making an enormous contribution to climate protection. Dr. Alexander Fleischanderl has invented a process that reduces harmful emissions in the production of sinter, one of the most important iron carriers in the blast furnace process, by more than 90%.
