Even in times of highly automated production, the handwheel has proven its worth - for example, to machine a raw part to size without having to create a part program. Thanks to the newly integrated manual machine function, the Sinumerik 828D/828D Basic enables the use of up to three handwheels on standard milling machines. An old machine tool with mechanical handwheels, which can still be found in many companies today for 'small tasks', is then no longer required. The Sinumerik 828D is therefore also ideal for use in repair and training machines.
