In the third quarter of fiscal year 2014, Siemens reclassified almost all activities of the metals technology business, which were previously included in the Industry Sector, to discontinued operations. These activities are to become part of a joint venture with Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery Inc. in which Siemens will hold a 49% stake. The corresponding prior-year results are shown on a comparable basis.
