A new version of the encoder software is available for the programmable versions of the OptoPulse EIL580 incremental encoder family from Baumer. The extended logging function improves product traceability. The program automatically saves configuration data and serial numbers of all programmed encoders. Each data record can be supplemented with individual values such as type designation or serial number of the motor. The stored data can be read out, exported or processed by the ERP system via an interface. The software provides its own interface with quick programming buttons for programming repetitive configurations. One click on one of these buttons is enough to program the encoder with previously saved parameter sets without any further interaction.
