Another Danish innovation is the Robovator from F. Poulsen Engineering ApS for selective hoeing in planted row crops. Digital cameras detect weeds in view of the plant height and send an impulse to the hydraulic hoeing shares, causing the hoeing blades to swing in and out. The gardener can intervene at any time and make manual adjustments. The Robovator works with its own power and oil supply and a speed of up to 4 km/h, even at night, and is particularly suitable for organic farms that control weeds without chemicals.
