Eaton is launching a new generation of the 'easy' control relay series: The 'easyE4' base device can be expanded to a maximum of 188 I/Os using up to eleven expansion modules. AC, DC, UC devices, analogue and digital expansions can be combined as required in mixed operation to implement a wide variety of applications. The expansion modules are connected via the 'easyConnector' connector on the front. With a total of 14 versions of the base unit and expansion modules, the number of variants has been significantly reduced compared to the previous series, while the range of applications has been expanded. The micro SD card in the base unit can also be used to implement individual application options, such as the definition of start programs, individualization of the control relay or the display of company-specific graphics. The control relay can be connected to all standard LAN/WLAN routers, repeaters or dLans via the integrated Ethernet interface and thus networked with the IIoT. Information from the control relay can be displayed on websites (HTML 5-based) or used for visualization with the integrated easy web server. The user can design their own dashboard and access the control relay via smartphone, tablet or notebook.
