With LCOS, Lütze has developed an IP20 enclosure system that can be used both as an individual enclosure and 'stand-alone solution' and can also be expanded into a complete and modular I/0 system by plugging in data and/or energy modules without tools. The basis of the electronics housing is a device carrier for holding the individual housings or the plug-in functional units. The patented four-conductor power bus enables a field-side supply of up to 16 A nominal current per conductor. The UL-approved electronic enclosures can be used worldwide and their temperature range is between -40 and +85 °C. If the enclosure system is used modularly, plug-in data or power modules with power supply options can supply the system and enable the creation of a data and power bus. The modules are interchangeable, resulting in four options: two data, two power, one power/data and one data/power. The connection between the modules does not have to be wired, but is made via insulated bridges. The functional housings are available in four versions: as housings with a width of 35 mm or 22.5 mm and alternatively with or without side terminals.
