According to supplier Rockwell Automation, the Allen-Bradley PanelView 800 graphic terminals shorten boot times and increase installation flexibility. Screen sizes of 4, 7 and 10 inches are available. The terminals have an 800 MHz CPU, up to 256 Mbytes of flash memory and dynamic memory, which reduces the time it takes for the screen to boot up. This makes them twice as fast as the previous 'PanelView Component Terminal'. According to the manufacturer, they also have a more responsive touchscreen and can be installed in either portrait or landscape format. The devices are suitable for the operating and visualization requirements of simple stand-alone applications, such as pump stations, packaging machines, labellers and stretch film machines. They are specially designed for use with 'Allen-Bradley Micro800' and 'MicroLogix' controllers. Their displays with LED backlight can display up to 65,536 colors. Built-in ports for Ethernet and serial communication (RS232, RS422 and RS485) facilitate connection to the controller, while the USB and microSD ports simplify file transfer. The terminals are certified for Class 1, Division 2 hazardous environments.
