Ixxat Inpact from HMS is a PC card for PCIe and PCIe-Mini with multi-protocol support for various industrial Ethernet standards as well as a standardized cross-protocol and cross-card programming interface. Based on the 'Anybus' and 'Ixxat', there is a PCIe card in standard and low-profile format as well as a PCIe mini card. With these cards, users can connect their PC-based slave applications to Ethercat, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet IRT/RT, Powerlink and Common Ethernet (TCP/IP). Thanks to the standardized driver concept, users can switch between the protocols without significant programming effort and also use future protocol extensions and developments. The PC card is supplied with a driver package for Windows, which allows the development of customer-specific applications - regardless of the card used and the Industrial Ethernet protocol. Based on the standardized programming interface, it is therefore possible to switch between protocols and card types without changing the customer's software. In addition to the Windows driver packages, drivers for Linux are also being planned. Real-time operating systems such as RTX, Intime, VxWorks and QNX are supported on request. A card variant for the PCI bus and for mini PCIe will be available shortly.
