The EP3744 Ethercat Box is an IP67 module from Beckhoff that combines compressed air measurement, Ethercat connection and digital I/Os when used directly in the process. In addition to six digital inputs and two digital outputs, the module has four pressure inputs with integrated 6 mm fittings. The pressure measurement is carried out as a differential value to the fifth pressure connection, which is fed into a protected environment via a hose for IP67 conformity. The measured values are available as 16-bit values and are transmitted electrically isolated to the controller. The measuring range is 0 to 1 bar (15 psi) with a resolution of 1 mbar per digit. This provides a compact stand-alone device for pressure monitoring and control for direct use in the field.
