With Fimp-Reg, eks Engel presents a series installation device version of the splice boxes of the 'Fimp' family (Fiber Industrial Mini Patch), which has been specially developed for control cabinets and electrical installation distributors in accordance with DIN 43880. A maximum of twelve single or multimode fibers can be connected. Splice comb, splice tray, couplings, pigtails, strain relief and cable gland are already integrated. Other features include a temperature range of -40 to +55 °C, protection class IP20 and conformity with DIN VDE 0603. For infrastructures in ring or bus topology, there are optional variants with a feeder for two cables. The splice box is optionally available with three duplex (SC, ST or E-2000) or three quattro couplings (LC). Patch cables can also be patched, allowing different connectors to be used. Both the front panel and the splice cassette can be completely removed for splicing. The polyamide housing measures 106 mm × 89 mm × 106 mm. The splice box can be mounted on 35 mm top-hat rails using a clip.
