Second place went to Goldfuß Engineering from Balingen. With its new removal system for folding cartons, it is possible for the first time to automatically open standard cardboard boxes, pick up the folding cartons, feed them to the cartoner and dispose of the empty carton - in a cycle time of up to 500 folding cartons per minute. This is made possible by the use of a Motoman dual-arm robot.
