In the 'Mobility' category, the jury was won over by iCradle from Frankfurt am Main with its smart bike system 'Cobi' (from 'Connected Bike'). The heart of the modular system is a bracket on the handlebars, the user's smartphone and an app installed on it. There is also a front and rear light, a thumb controller and an integrated anti-theft device, a navigation system and a bell. The rear light has a brake light that is controlled by the acceleration sensor in the mainframe and lights up when the cyclist brakes, as well as a blinker function to show the direction in which to turn. The previous problem of navigation apps draining the smartphone battery does not exist here: on an e-bike, the smartphone is connected to the battery, while on a conventional bike it is connected to the hub dynamo or powered by a 6,000 milliamp battery.
