Up to six external sensors can be connected to a Linux-based camera from VRmagic's D3 camera generation via foil cables with LVDS transmission. The sensors can be freely positioned and provide pixel-synchronous images from different angles. The multi-sensor camera is available with the CMOS sensors "MT9V024" and "AR0134" from Aptina. The 1/3-inch sensors offer a resolution of 754 × 480 and 1280 × 960 pixels respectively, they feature global shutter technology and deliver significantly higher frame rates with a reduced image height.
