In the regions, Europe, CIS, Africa, Near and Middle East (Europe/GANO) reported very strong order growth, which was mainly due to the major order for trains. Order intake in the Asia, Australia and Americas regions was down on the previous year. In the emerging markets, order intake increased by 6% year-on-year worldwide and contributed EUR 7.096 billion or 34% to total order intake in the quarter.
