ABB Automation, Mannheim: The nominated product 'YuMI' is a collaborative two-arm robot. 'YuMI' can carry out fine work with very high precision and, with two times seven degrees of freedom, can be ergonomically adapted to human workstations. According to ABB, it is suitable for safe collaboration between humans and robots at a shared workstation without disruptive protective devices. 'YuMI' can be used flexibly and was developed, for example, for use in hybrid small parts assembly in the electrical industry.
