m&h Inprocess Messtechnik presents the IRP40.50 touch probe. Tecnotron developed the software that transmits the measurement data via infrared transmission. With a diameter of 25 mm and a length of 55 mm, the probe fits into any small machining center and leaves enough space to measure in the Z-axis without the risk of collision. The device takes into account small and delicate workpieces with a probing force of just 0.7 N (XY). HDR (High Data Rate) infrared transmission ensures that only the system's own signals are processed, eliminating interference from ambient light. The touch probe is activated with bidirectional signals between the probe and receiver via separately coded signals.
