With the Logo! CMR2020 communication module from Siemens, users can control the 'Logo! 8' logic module via SMS text message on their cell phone or receive status data and alarms. After inserting a SIM card, the communication module can be accessed as a subscriber via the mobile phone network. Users can configure various commands in the logic module for remote access and then trigger them by SMS via the communication module. Conversely, the communication module sends diagnostic data and alarms as text messages to the cell phones previously defined as recipients. The communication module has a GPS antenna connection to determine the current position. It also enables time synchronization of the connected logic modules on the basis of the time data provided by the mobile phone provider or NTP server or the time data of the GPS signals.
