... was won by the team of students from FH Aachen: Steffen Müller, Tim Host, Tian Eu Lau, Niklas Loosen and Tobias Rink (from left to right) have developed 'PhysioTec', a training device that specifically trains the crucial back and abdominal muscles for a healthier sitting posture. A sophisticated sensor system determines the sitting posture and provides small vibration impulses to correct it. When the sitting posture is optimal, a short program is then carried out to train the muscular problem areas. The students see their system being used primarily in the office, as this is where back problems arise to a particularly high degree.
