Second place, a Rapiro DIY Robot Kit and an EnOcean EDK 350 Developer Kit went to Jay Morreale from the USA. Based on Eclipse SmartHome and openHAB, he has developed various retrofit concepts for electrics, lighting, plumbing and entertainment in his 100-year-old Victorian house. The system can remotely determine whether the door is unlocked, the plants have been sufficiently watered and the cats have been fed.
