Order intake and sales in the Industrial Automation and Drives division remained at almost the same level in the fourth quarter as in the same period of the previous year. The Robotics and Drives divisions in particular recorded growth in the fourth quarter. In the Process Automation division, major and basic orders were almost on a par with the same period of the previous year. The Power Engineering Systems division recorded an increase in basic orders compared to the same quarter of the previous year. According to ABB, this growth was more than offset by the decline in major orders compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Due to the lower order backlog, however, sales were down on the previous year.
